DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona International Speedway, home to the prestigious season-opening Daytona 500, is giving race fans the opportunity to witness the season-ending championship celebration at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards in Las Vegas.
Beginning Oct. 15 through Oct. 28, the “World Center of Racing” will hold the 2012 Daytona Fantasy Giveaway Contest through its Facebook page – www.facebook.com/DaytonaInternationalSpeedway.
Race fans are challenged to find or take a photo that illustrates their favorite memory from Daytona International Speedway. Before submitting the photo, they must include a description about the photo.
The grand prize winner, whose submission will be judged based on the originality and creativity, will be awarded with a 3-day/2-night trip for two to Las Vegas to attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards on Nov. 30, 2012 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
The prize package includes round-trip air transportation from the closest major airport, hotel accommodations at the Wynn Las Vegas and a gift card for $200.
In addition to the grand prize, throughout the contest, there will be random secondary prizes including 2013 Daytona 500 tickets, Daytona International Speedway apparel and an autographed Daytona 500 champion’s hat.
Tickets for NASCAR’s biggest, richest and most prestigious race – the 55th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 24 – start at $65 and are available at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP.
For the second straight year, the Speedway is offering special youth pricing for the Daytona 500. Children 12 and under will receive 50 percent off all backstretch grandstand seats for the Daytona 500 while supplies last. In addition, children 12 and under are free in the Sprint FANZONE throughout Budweiser Speedweeks.
