(Talladega, AL – Oct 18, 2013) – Richard Childress Racing announced today that it will field cars for Brendan Gaughan in the Nationwide Series in 2014. Gaughan will be driving the #62 South Point Hotel and Casino Chevrolet. Gaughn currently drives for the team in the Camping World Truck Series. Gaughan commented after the announcement, “I’m really excited, really happy to be here. I said it a couple years ago when I got here, I don’t want to drive for another race team.”
VP of competition for RCR, Mike Dillon also announced, “We’re going to have three full time Nationwide programs with intentions on the N0. 33 car running the full schedule also once we get it filled out with Paul and Austin and a few other candidates to drive that car.”
