For race fans in Canada’s capital city, the doors to their 2014 season have started to open. Capital City Speedway has announced their 2014 tentative schedule, set to begin on Wednesday May 21st.
Running on Wednesday nights, the track located in the nation’s capital – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – produces a one-of-a-kind show that leads to entertainment. The 2014 schedule promises to deliver that same entertainment with some added perks that will have fans excited.
Each Wednesday night of the year features Late Models, Thunder Cars, Mini Stocks, Legends and 4 Fun – with a special here and there.
Opening night is scheduled for May 21st with the usual line-up, along with a 100 lap Enduro and Dinardo’s Karts. That will then be followed by with the Vintage Modifieds during the regular line-up on May 29th.
The Legends will be off on June 4th, though it’ll still be an action packed night with the Late Models, Thunder Cars, Mini Stocks and 4-Funs – along with Dinardo’s Karts and the Vintage Modifieds. A 100 lap Enduro is the scheduled special event for June 11th, while the Dirt Sportsman cars will be the special event as part of June 18th.
The final night in June is Myers Automotive Group Autism Awareness Race night. It features the Late Models, Thunder Cars, Mini Stocks, Legends, 4-Funs, as well as the Vintage Modifieds and Dinardo’s Kart Class.
July will start off with Fan Appreciation Night scheduled for the 2nd, followed by the first annual ever Summer Sizzler on Saturday July 5th. As previously announced, the OSCAAR Hanover Holiday Modifieds will be on hand for their first ever trip to CCS, joined by the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series, Revstar SRT Series – Mini Sprints and a 100 lap Enduro.
On July 9th, CCS will get back into regular racing with the normal schedule of Late Models, Thunder Cars, Mini Stocks, Legends and 4-Funs on hand, along with a special Dirt Sportsman feature.
G.W Drummond Memorial Night is schedule for July 16th this year and will feature the usual line-up, as well as the Vintage Modifieds. The night will also be highlighted by Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies.
July 23rd is a scheduled regular night that will not include the Legends – just LM, TC, MS and 4F – though joined by the Revstar SRT Class and Dinardo’s Kart Class. July will cap off with DYMON Self Storage Night, raising money for CHEO Fundraiser. All five regular classes will be on hand, along with the Dirt Sportsman class.
August will start off with Karson Kartage Night featuring the five regular classes and a 100 lap enduro on the 6th. Then the following week on August 13th, it is Fan Appreciation Night with the Vintage Modifieds on hand. The Legends will have August 20th off, though in their place will be the Dirt Sportsman cars and a 100 lap Enduro. August will then cap off on 27th with all five regular classes on hand, as well as Wicked Garage Car Show Series and Dinardo’s Kart Class.
The final night of the 2014 season for CCS will be Saturday September 13th with the Summer Slam. The event will feature twin 25 lap Late Model features, Dirt Sportsman, Vintage Modifieds, Quebec Vintage Stock Car Series, Thunder Cars, Mini Stocks, Legends race – National Qualifier, Four Fun, 100 lap Enduro and a Demolition Derby.
