By – Roger Holtsclaw Matt Hoose, driver of the No. 1 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Super Late Model, dodged early trouble and found his way to victory lane at Langley Speedway in the National Motorsports Network Super Late Model event for the Bootleg Racing League.
The 75 lap event was race number two on the season for the series. Hoose, who races out of the Michigan region, led 14 laps en route to his first win of the season in Super Late Model competition. The highly competitive event compiled five lead changes among six drivers.
Langley Speedway is a tough, relatively flat, .395 mile short track located in Hampton, Virginia. The drivers had their hands full with the powerful Super Late Models. After a few early yellows, however, everyone seemed to settle in for what turned out to be a very competitive, entertaining race.
Brian Neff, Donny Moore, Ronald Henrie, and Christopher Hensley, rounded out the top-5. Hensley who also competes out of the Michigan region, led a race high 30 laps, before relinquishing to Hoose.
With the win, Hoose takes over the points lead, followed by Chris Roberts, Neff, Henrie and Roger Holtsclaw. The series now travels to USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida for race no. 3.
