MILLVILLE, NJ – Andew Ranger continued the streak with his fourth straight ARCA victory at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) on Sunday.
The Canadian took advantage of leader Justin Boston’s mistake on lap 52 and never looked back.
“Very happy, really good car, awesome track,” Ranger said. “To finally four wins here is fantastic. Thanks to my team. They worked so hard.”
Ranger came in on the lap 2 caution and worked his way back up to pressure Boston for the lead.
The two pitted on the same lap for fuel and would fight for the win amongst them.
Both drivers remained nose-to-tail most of race, until Ranger passed Boston for the lead for good with 14 laps to go.
“He (Boston) was pretty quick, so I was trying to save my stuff at the same time, Ranger added.” “I was behind him and tried to see what kind of mistake he will do and he did one.”
Ranger rocketed to the pole on Saturday with a new track record of 79.428 seconds (101.982 mph).
In his four wins at the track, the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series competitor has won three of them from the pole.
Boston had to pit late in the race for a cut tire and settled for seventh.
His Venturini Motorsports teammate, Chinese-American driver Brian Wong, finished runner-up in his second career ARCA start, both of which came at NJMP.
Rookie driver Matt Tifft came home third, while points leader Grant Enfinger took fourth and Frank Kimmel rounded out the top five.
Kyle Benjamin finished sixth in his road course debut for the Roulo Brothers and Peruvian driver Raul Orlandini grabbed a top 10 finish in his ARCA debut by finishing eighth.
Cherry Hill, New Jersey native Tom Hessert and Mason Mitchell rounded out the top 10.
The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards will race this Saturday at Pocono Raceway for their first of two stops at the Tricky Triangle.
