After getting wrecked in the first feature of the night, Rick Walt came back strong in the second feature as he took the lead at lap 15 of 30 and never looked back to score the victory in the Wahta Springs Late Model feature at Barrie Speedway. It marks his third feature victory in the last four feature events.
Sam Reckzin would start on pole ahead of Leonard Johnston, Rob Bromley, Andre Pepin, Gord Shepherd, Mike Langley, Al Inglis, Frank Davey, Dwight Brown, Darryl St. Onge and Rick Walt.
Johnston would grab the lead on lap one in his No. 24 X-Copper and Sublime Graphic Late Model ahead of Pepin as Reckzin and Langley battled for third. Pepin would get alongside Johnston for the lead at lap three, completing the pass on lap six to put his No. 91 Anytime Fitness Midland, SPM Racing Engines, Fastenal Midland, Frankie Kindred Industries and Rick Beaudion Custom Paint Late Model in the lead. Johnston would slot into second, ahead of Langley, Davey and St. Onge. St. Onge would lose the fifth spot a lap later as Walt grabbed the spot. Walt then passed Davey for fourth a lap later, followed by a pass on Langley to move into third. Davey then passed Langley for fourth on lap 11, while Walt passed Johnston to move into second on lap 12.
At lap 13, Pepin continued to hold down the lead as Walt started to reel him in ahead of Johnston, Davey, Brown and Inglis as Shepherd and Langley battled for seventh. Shepherd cleared Langley on lap 14, as Bromley and Reckzin rounded out the top 10.
At the front of the field, Walt would rundown Pepin at the halfway mark, passing him to put his No. 31 abstract, First Financial, Oro Collision, HOTC, Call Mr. Handy and RB Graffix Late Model in the lead. Pepin would slip back to second ahead of Johnston, Davey, St. Onge, Brown and Inglis. Inglis would get alongside Brown for sixth at lap 16, completing the pass as St. Onge got alongside Davey for fourth. St. Onge would move into fourth on lap 21.
At the front, it was all Rick Walt as he cruised to victory ahead of Andre Pepin, Leonard Johnston, Darryl St. Onge, Frank Davey, Al Inglis, Dwight Brown, Gord Shepherd, Mike Langley, Rob Bromley and Sam Reckzin.
