My name is Anthony Miller and I am from Asheville, NC. I began racing when I was 15 years old. I have been around racing my entire life. Watching my uncles and cousins race week after week in hopes that I one day would be in that seat. I started helping work on cars in the garage and in the pits once I could walk.
I am now 17 years old and just completed my second season driving a late model at Newport Speedway. In my first year of racing I won “rookie of the year”. I am now ready to participate in the NASCAR Whelen All-American series Limited Late model division in 2015. My home track this season will be Hickory Motor Speedway. I also plan on traveling to other NASCAR sanctioned tracks throughout the season.
My team is owned by my mom Christy Miller and together we are building a team to move us into the next level. I am happy to be working with Ed Cox this year as my crew chief and driving coach. I have partnered with AMSOIL, Wheel-Chill, and Racing-2-Cure so far for this season. I am also partnered with the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina to help bring awareness to brain injuries. We are working on bringing in new marketing partners with a high-profile marketing campaign, we have in place for 2015. I would like to thank On Pit Road for this opportunity to share with everyone the life of a 17 year old race car driver.
When not at the track I am a senior in high school and working on rebuilding a 1968 Chevelle for my senior project. I also enjoy bowling and basketball. I look forward to sharing with you each week all my racing updates and all things going on at Anthony Miller Racing!
