NSCS: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Leads Friday Afternoon Practice for Daytona 500

Following his victory in the Budweiser Duel #1, Dale Earnhardt Jr. would top the charts during the final practice for the Daytona 500 with a lap of 46.295 seconds. He was joined at the top of the chart by his Hendrick Motorsports teammates Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson.

Danica Patrick was fourth quickest after trailing some smoke early in the session, with Ryan Blaney rounding out the top five.

Kyle Busch was sixth quickest, followed by Greg Biffle, Jamie McMurray, Carl Edwards and Austin Dillon. Dillon is one of the drivers in a back-up car following the wrecks in the Budweiser Duels.
