Sunset Speedway regular Paul Maltese is looking for a stronger season this year, and will unveil his No. 28 Paragon Office Supply’s and Moving, Presto Appliance, Bluesky Contracting , Eises Farms , MADD Canada , OAS , Sean Grosman, Autotrimbarrie , South Simcoe Police. Spencer Lewis Promotions, NGK, Wix , Gunk, Dayco and Permatex LLM at the Motrama Custom Car and Motorsports Show. The show takes place from March 13th to 15th at the International Center and will feature some of the top individuals in both the car enthusiast and motorsports industry.
In his debut season behind the wheel of a late model, things didn’t go as he would’ve hoped with wrecks and mecahnical issues resulting in a 11th place finish in points.
“It was expensive between bad motors, getting in wreaks and a ill-handing car,” Maltese commented. “We had one of my worst seasons that I have had in years.”
Maltese will enter this year with a brand new McColl Racing Enterprises chassis in hopes of finding the fast track to success.
“We are starting off with a lot better car and with learning all things not to do from last year,” he commented. “Looking for a good solid season with some good top five runs and leading some laps, hoping for big turn around. We got a great team with my wife and son and my great friends Jamie Sutton, Jordan, Scott. Randy and Jay helping me out, with the added help from MRE and Paul Jr.
“We should be ready to try and compete up front where we belong.”
