Hello Race Fans, This past Saturday March 7th I raced in my first limited late model race at Hickory Motor Speedway. We had some issues with the car in both practices but my team was able to get everything worked out for qualifying. I qualified 11th in a 17 car field. For my race at this track we were happy with that.
Race time I felt a little nervous as the green flag dropped. When it did I was ready to go. Things were going good but when the first caution came out the temperature was rising on the car so I made a quick pit stop to remove some tape and got back out there. I started in the back of the field but I made my way back up to finish 10th. I still have things to work on but I will get there. I had fun and we know what to work on for my next race this Saturday at Hickory.
I want to thank all the fans that came down during the autograph session and talked with me. I also want to thank my team; Ed Cox, Brandon, Dillon, Logan, James, Kelli, my mom, and Cheyenne for all of their hard work. I appreciate all the support from my fans. Thank you to AMSOIL for making us AMSOIL Strong this season, Wheel-Chill for keeping the car chill so we can work on it, Brain Injury Association of NC, Tri-Star Race wear and In-Line Designs. I owe a big thank you to Jay Hedgecock for some last minute work to help me get to the track! I couldn’t do what I love without the help and support of everyone above.
Check back next week for my weekly update. You can also follow me on Facebook & Instagram at Anthony Miller Racing, Twitter @Anthonyracing56, and on my website at www.AnthonyMillerRacing.com.
