Singer/songwriter Niemann’s fourth album, High Noon, offers listeners a blend of country, pop and rock mixed with a bit of electronic beats.
“My biggest obstacle was to make sure this sounded different from everything else out there right now,” Niemann said.
“So High Noon means go out there and go for it. Get your game face on, walk ten steps, and pull the trigger. It’s the next step into facing the future,” he said.
His smash single off of his latest album, “Drink to That All Night,” earned Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) Gold-certified and rose to No. 6 on the Billboard Country Music Charts. It was followed-up by the second single “Donkey.”
The Kansas-born Niemann, who is influenced by Lefty Frizzell, George Strait, Randy` Travis, and Keith Whitley, caught the attention of Nashville and country music in 2010 with his chart-topping album Judge Jerrod & The Hung Jury with Sea Gayle Records /Artista Nashville records. The album produced the Number One Smash RIAA-certified Platinum digital single “Lover, Lover,” followed it up with Top-Five and RIAA-certified Gold single “What Do You Want”.
His second album, Free the Music includes a multitude of style that ranges from the popular, funky up-beat Top 15 single “Shinin’ On Me” written with country star Lee Brice then to the slow ballad “Only God Could Love You More” that displays his talented voice.
“Some people sound the same on every song, but I like to be a chameleon, like an actor in a role. For ‘Only God Can Love You More,’ we didn’t put any harmonies on it and used my original tracking vocal. “Lover, Lover” had a bunch of harmony parts so I thought it’d be interesting to have zero here, especially with French horns and the other orchestral things we have going on, he says. “Some songs just work better with one vocal.”
Niemann continues to tour alongside popular artists such as Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley. He’s also written with fellow country artists Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, and Jamey Johnson.
