Following a solid rookie season at Sunset Speedway, Adam Martin is set to return to the Super Stock division once again in 2015.
“Looking forward to it,” he commented. “Kerry (Micks) and everybody on the team rebuilt it, everything is brand new on it, so looking forward to taking it out. We just got a little more work, but looking forward to trying and getting some checkered flags this year.”
The driver of the No. 97 Johnsonville, Candytree Gourmet Lollipops, Reser’s Fine Foods, Stihl and Go Tire Micks Motorsports Ford had a solid season last year, finishing 12th in the Super Stock standings.
“I was happy with it,” Martin said. “I think, overall, with what we had last year, we did really well. We struggled a little bit at the beginning. We had a little car trouble. Once we fixed some things, we were a lot better and more competitive.”
Now going into his sophomore season, Martin says the biggest thing that he is taking from last year is the experience behind the wheel, and the respect that he has earned from his fellow competitors.
