With having the pole for the event after winning the Chase for the Colours event earlier this year, Tyler Junkin skipped out on all the racing action on Friday and Saturday. Showing up on Sunday, Junkin started from the pole and battled all the way to the end, scoring the victory in the Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough Speedway.

With the green flag in the air, Andy Kamrath would take the early lead ahead of the field, while Kevin Strutt and Brandon Hannah went for a spin into the grass on lap three. The caution would then fly on lap five for Craig Kamrath getting into the wall in turn three.
The restart would see Andy Kamrath continue to lead as Brandon McFerran would get into Junkin, causing him to go through the grass and lose some spots. The caution would then fly the next lap as Hannah would lose a wheel on the frontstretch. With 44 laps to go, Kamrath led Miles Tyson, James Townsend, McFerran, Chad Corcoran, Junkin, Will Gibbons, Nolan Gould and Eric Yorke.
Kamrath would get a good restart to keep the lead ahead of Townsend, Tyson and Corcoran as Junkin and McFerran battled for fifth. Junkin would get the spot on lap nine ahead of McFerran and Gibbons. T.J. Edwards would then slow on lap 10, with the caution flying a lap later for a pile in turn two involving Treyten Lapcevich, Bobby Tolton, Stefan Semeraro, Hudson Nagy and Gould.
Kamrath would continue to lead after the restart, though would be passed on lap 20 by James Townsend. Townsend would then lead the field ahead of Kamrath, Junkin and Tyson. Corcoran would then get alongside Tyson for fourth at lap 21 while McFerran and Gibbons rounded out the top-seven.
The battle for the lead would get interesting as Kamrath would get by Townsend to take the lead on lap 24, with Junkin following him through to move up into second. Townsend now ran third ahead of Tyson, Corcoran and Gibbons. The caution would then fly, though, on lap 26 for Mike Nelson slowing on the backstretch.
The restart would bring forth a battle for the lead between Junkin and Kamrath, with Tyler Junkin taking the lead ahead of Kamrath. Townsend would then get alongside Kamrath for second, taking the spot on lap 31. Tyson would look to get ahead of Kamrath for third, but Kamrath was able to use the crossover move to keep the spot. Tyson would run fourth ahead of Warren Paxton, Chris Mulders, Danny Benedict and Brandon McFerran.
The caution would then fly at lap 35 for Dwight Lavoie slowing down the backstretch. Under the yellow flag, Chad Corcoran would make his way down pit road. With 15 laps to go, Junkin led Townsend, Kamrath, Tyson, Paxton, Mulders, Benedict, McFerran, John Carr, Terry Woodley, Fred Jordan, Treyten Lapcevich and Eric Yorke.
Junkin would get a good restart to keep the lead ahead of Townsend, Kamrath, Tyson, Paxton and Benedict. Kamrath would then get by Townsend to move into second with 10 laps to go, while Tyson continued to run fourth. Behind him, Benedict would get alongside Paxton for fifth, completing the pass on lap 42. McFerran would then move into sixth a lap later ahead of Paxton, Mulders, Woodley, Carr, Jordan and Yorke.
The caution would then fly with five laps to go for Dave Watchorn and Nick Clarke colliding in turn four, with Jordan spinning on the backstretch.
Junkin would get another good restart, with Townsend and Kamrath battled for second. The caution would then fly once again, though, as Corcoran would stall, followed by Nagy getting nailed on the frontstretch.
Tyler Junkin would get a good final restart to lead the way to victory. The battle for second would see contact back and forth between Andy Kamrath and James Townsend, with Kamrath sending Townsend through the grass to finish second ahead of Danny Benedict and Townsend. Townsend would then spin Kamrath after the checkered flag, resulting in a black flag for rough driving. As a result, Townsend would lose his fourth place finish.
Instead, it’d be Brandon McFerran credited with fourth ahead of Chris Mulders, Miles Tyson, Warren Paxton, Terry Woodley and Eric Yorke.
