KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Jan. 28, 2016) – With the start of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season fast approaching, Nature’s Bakery, primary sponsor of Danica Patrick and the No. 10 Chevrolet SS team for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), is launching the company’s first promotion tied to the new partnership: the Nature’s Bakery Fantern Program.
Nature’s Bakery was founded in 2010 by the father-and-son duo of Dave and Sam Marson with a mission of making delicious, convenient, on-the-go snacks that complement health-conscious living and active, everyday lifestyles. The company’s signature tagline is: “Energy for Life’s Great Journeys,” and with the new Fantern program, Nature’s Bakery plans to energize fans with an opportunity to participate in a great at-track journey.
“We’re so ready to kick of the 2016 season with Danica and SHR, and our new Fantern program is a great way to get fans engaged with our new partnership,” said Dave Marson, founder of Nature’s Bakery. “We’re taking a different approach to our racing program and this is the first of many initiatives we look forward to embarking upon.”
The unique fan internship experience will be offered at 26 race weekends throughout the year, starting with the March 3 Sprint Cup race in Las Vegas. The Nature’s Bakery Fantern will have a hybrid role on the No. 10 team, as a “fantern” is the blending of a fan and an intern into one position. The program will provide a hands-on opportunity to gain a unique and valuable experience tied to a subject matter fans are curious to learn about. U.S. residents can visit www.NaturesBakery.com/Fantern to apply to be a part of the No. 10 Nature’s Bakery team. Fans have two options to submit their applications for the role: submit a one-minute video, or several photos accompanied by a 500-word essay detailing why the fan should be selected as the next Nature’s Bakery Fantern. Applicants will be judged on several criteria, including: creativity, articulation, story and uniqueness.
“I really like the out-of-the-box approach Nature’s Bakery is taking with our partnership,” Patrick said. “The Nature’s Bakery Fantern program is just one example of what they have in store and I’m looking forward to meeting all of the fanterns at the track this season.”
Each Nature’s Bakery Fantern will get to bring a guest to the track to share in the special at-track journey with the No. 10 Nature’s Bakery team. The Fantern’s race-day experience will include spending time with the Nature’s Bakery pit crew, a tour of the Sprint Cup garage and pit area, meeting Patrick and watching the race from pit road. Fanterns will share social content from their at-track adventure utilizing the #Fantern hashtag.
