Chris Pine, who is the star of the “Star Treck” movie franchise, will start the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PenGrade Motor Oil at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway by waving the green flag.
“In addition to all our stars on the track, the 100th Running will feature a major lineup of stars off the track,” J. Douglas Boles Indianapolis Motor Speedway President quoted. “We’re thrilled to welcome Chris Pine to our flag stand, where he will officially get our epic race under way by waving the green flag.”
Pine is one of Hollywood’s newest hottest actors. He has many upcoming movie releases which include Star Trek Beyond, Hell or High Water and Wonder Woman (which he is currently filming.) . He has starred is some of the hottest movies in the past few years like “This Means War” opposite Reese Witherspoon, “The Finest Hours”,” Z is for Zachariah”, “Horrible Bosses 2”, as well as “Into The Woods”, which is a musical comedy that also starred Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt ,Johnny Depp and Anna Kendrick. He had the main role in both “Jack Ryan:Shadow Recruit” as well as “Star Trek: Star Trek into Darkness”, among many others.
