Ultimate prize fighter and UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will serve as the grand marshal for next weekend’s Sprint Cup Series FireKeepers 400 at Michigan International Speedway.
“I’m excited and honored to be the grand marshal for the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway,” Tate said. “There are a lot of things I look forward to doing at the track, but to give the command to start the engines is at the top of my list for sure.”
Tate, who has a career record of 18 wins and just five defeats, shocked the fighting world by defeating then champion Holly Holm in the fifth round of their battle at UFC 196 in Las Vegas on March 5th. Tate will defend her title on July 9th against No. 4 ranked Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 in Las Vegas.
Tate is a client of Kevin and DeLana Harvick’s marketing agency, KHI Management.
