As a self-funded racer, Ryley Seibert knows he can’t commit to the full Pinty’s Series schedule. That’s why he is making sure to run as much as he can this season within his budget. The Williams Lake driver will compete full-time in the WESCAR Series, while racing in the Pinty’s Series in September.
“I can compete in any series,” says Seibert. “For me, WESCAR and NASCAR are about honing my skills and putting time in the seat while working.”
Currently in the midst of helping build a three-mile road course circuit near Oliver, British Columbia, Seibert’s days are filled as he spends 12 hours a day on the job site before spending time at the race shop to work on his equipment.
“I work hard to race because I love it. Sponsors could help me get more time in the seat,” Seibert says. “But I’m racing anyway, on my own.”
