The OSCAAR Pro Midgets got a new face in victory lane, and it was done in her series debut as Kelly Summer scored the victory on Saturday at Peterborough Speedway’s Chase for the Colours.
Ted Greenwood won the first heat ahead of ‘Wild’ Willy Northcott, Brian MacDonald, Katherine Summers, Kelly Summers and Wally Wilson.
Ted Greenwood went on for the daily double, winning the second heat ahead of Kelly Summers, Katherine Summers, Willy Northcott and Wally Wilson.
The feature saw Kelly Summers continue to get faster, picking up the feature victory to complete the night in her series debut. Ted Greenwood finished second for his fifth straight top-two finish, followed by Brian MacDonald with a third in his series debut. Katherine Summers finished fourth in her debut, followed by Wally Wilson with his fourth top-five.
Notably, Willy Northcott ran into motor issues, though is already in the process of getting that fixed ahead of the series’ next event.
The OSCAAR Pro Midgets will now focus their attention to Flamboro Speedway for their next event of the season.
