The NASCAR XFINITY Series visits the nation’s heartland and Kansas Speedway this weekend for the first race in the round of eight in the Chase for the Championship with a spot in the championship four at Homestead on the line.
Blake Koch led the way in the opening practice for tomorrow’s Kansas Lottery 300 with a time of 29.648 seconds (182.137 MPH). Erik Jones was second.
Kyle Busch was third followed by: Daniel Suarez and Ty Dillon rounded out the top five.
Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, Brennan Poole, Regan Smith, and Ryan Reed rounded out the top ten on the speed chart.
Notables include: Austin Dillon 11th, Justin Allgaier 12th, Darrell Wallace Jr. 13th, Elliott Sadler 14th, Brendan Gaughan 16th, and Cole Custer 18th.
