LUCAMA, NC – After discussions with teams, Southern National Motorsports Park will run the Charger division again at Southern National Motorsports Park in 2018.
The Charger division, which has been a staple at Southern National Motorsports Park, will race on nights the Late Model Stock Car division competes, starting with the season opener on Saturday, March 3rd.
“A lot of racers have approached us with interest in running a Charger class so, after careful consideration, we’ve decided to bring the Charger class back for 2018,” track owner Michael Diaz said. “We’ve had a lot of support from many of these Charger racers over the years and it’s certainly become a fan favorite division as well.”
The Charger division will compete in the races scheduled for March 3rd, April 14th, May 26th, July 28th, September 8th and on one of the three nights of racing at Thanksgiving Classic.
Southern National Motorsports Park will add incentives with the hopes of getting Charger competitors to race in the Limited Late Model division as well. Those incentives will be announced at a later date.
The green flag will fly on the 2018 season at Southern National Motorsports Park on Saturday, March 3rd.
