INNISFIL, Ontario – Eric Yorke battled hard all race long at Sunset Speedway on Saturday night en route to finishing 11th.
Yorke started off the night by finishing fourth in his heat to qualify him for the Dash for Cash. Yorke would then use the Dash as a test session for the feature, finishing 12th.
Come feature time, Yorke would start 15th as a result of the random draw. He would start to gradually move his way up through the field, running 14th as of lap 10. He would then pick up two more spots to be running 12th as of lap 12. Nic Montanari would try to dive to the bottom of Yorke on lap 14, when he would get loose and spin for the caution.
Yorke would use the restart as an opportunity to pass Miles Tyson to move up to 11th before the second caution for Steve Belanger blowing up. Yorke kept the positive momentum going for the second half of the feature to finish 11th.
Special thanks to Can-Alignment Motorsports, Milton Napa Auto Parts, J&D Tire, Solex Steel, McKeown Collision, Partimer Signs and Skytec Rentals for their support.
