Mike Bliss Finishes 24th: Mike Bliss and the No. 19 Camry qualified 23rd for the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300. On lap 16, Bliss came on the radio and reported that the No. 19 Camry was becoming loose, while running 22nd. Under caution, Bliss brought his Camry to pit road for four tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment. Bliss was running 24th at lap 67 and was in the Lucky Dog position. With 98 laps to go, Bliss reported that his Camry had lost rear grip while running 28th. The No. 19 Crew Chief made the call for a shock change under caution. Bliss was running 25th with 50 laps to go and when a late race caution came out, he came to pit road for four tires, fuel, track bar adjustment and an air pressure adjustment. With 19 laps to go, the No. 19 Camry was scored in the 28th position and would advance four positions to finish the 300-mile race 24th.
Blake Koch Finishes 25th: Blake Koch was back behind the wheel of the No. 44 Centershot Ministries Camry this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. After qualifying 30th, Koch and the No. 44 team were ready for the 300-mile race under the lights. Early into the run, Koch reported that his Camry was loose in, tight center off and reported a small vibration. When an early caution flag was shown, Koch brought his Camry to pit road so the crew could hit all of the lug nuts on the tires to make sure they were tight. On lap 81, Koch was running in the 28th position and was slowly gaining on the cars ahead of him. With 68 laps to go, Koch’s Crew Chief got on the radio and told him that he just ran his fastest lap on lap 67. The No. 44 Camry was scored in the 27th position with 19 laps to go and would advance two positions to finish the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 in the 25th position.
Eric McClure Finishes 31st: Eric McClure qualified 28th for Saturday night’s race at Kentucky Speedway. McClure reported early into the race that his Camry was a “little free in, tight in center and ok off.” On lap 31, McClure was scored in the 28th position and by lap 35 McClure reported that his Camry was still tight. When a caution came out on lap 67 for debris, McClure came to pit road for four tires, fuel and adjustments to free the car up. The No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry was scored in the 30th position at the halfway point and was reporting that the rear of the car felt better, but the front is not where he needed it to be. With 64 laps to go, McClure was scored in the 30th position. Unfortunately at lap 176, McClure wrecked hard into the outside wall, which ended their night. McClure was checked and released from infield care center. The No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry finished 31st.
