He led the first practice, and he kept that momentum going in the second and final practice. Austin Dillon topped the charts with a lap of 29.773 seconds in the second and final practice for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Regan Smith timed in second quickest, 0.228 seconds behind. Smith is looking for his first win of the season with new crew chief Jason Burdett after finishing second in points last year. Darrell Wallace Jr. was third quickest after making the move to Roush Fenway Racing for 2015 following success in the Camping World Truck Series for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Brad Keselowski was fourth after missing the first practice due to an autograph session, followed by Elliott Sadler.
Erik Jones was sixth quickest, followed by Brendan Gaughan, Chase Elliott, Daniel Saurez, and JJ Yeley.
