TORONTO, ON (MAY 6, 2015) – In support of OSCAAR’s racers and in recognition of the organization’s 25th anniversary season, Inside Track Motorsport News will sponsor the Inside Track
Hard Charger awards for all three of the sanctioning body’s racing divisions in 2015.
The drivers who advance the most positions during the course of each feature race will earn points towards year-end awards. The result will be that fans will be treated to a ‘race within a race’ all season long.
The year-end winners of the Outlaw, Modified and Midget Inside Track Hard Charger awards will receive cash prizes of $500, $400 and $300, respectively. As well, each will receive a half-page ‘thank your sponsor(s)’ ad in the year-end issue of the magazine featuring the OSCAAR season review content, valued at $1,250.
The combined value of the Inside Track Hard Chargers cash and free ad awards program is just under $5,000.
“On behalf of OSCAAR’s board of directors, we’re happy to announce this new awards program with Inside Track Motorsport News,” said OSCAAR President Dave Gainforth. “As part of this new sponsorship program, Inside Track becomes the ‘official racing publication partner of OSCAAR.’”
Published since 1997, Inside Track Motorsport News is the only magazine in the world that puts Canadian racing first. And since its first year of publishing, the publication has prominently featured the OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Model Series. In recent years, it has added coverage of the sanctioning body’s Modified and Midget tours.
“OSCAAR’s three series are exciting, professional and we congratulate the racers, crews, officials and sponsors on their 25th anniversary,” said Inside Track editor Greg MacPherson. “We’re excited to have our name on the Hard Charger awards program for all three divisions and we’re looking forward to featuring the drivers and their stories in the magazine all season long.”
In addition to being available via subscriptions and on better newsstands, like Chapters and Indigo stores, fans and racers will be able to pick up the latest issue of Inside Track Motorsport News at the OSCAAR trailer at race events in 2015.

All three OSCAAR racing divisions will open their seasons during the May 16-17 weekend at Sunset Speedway, located just south of Barrie, Ontario. Peterborough Speedway, Flamboro Speedway, Sauble Speedway, Full Throttle Motor Speedway, Delaware Speedway and Grand Bend Motor Speedway will also host one or more of OSCAAR’s racing divisions in 2015.
