Following rain throughout the afternoon, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for a lone practice session before Friday night’s Toyota Tundra 250 at Kansas Speedway. At the end of the practice, it’d be Cameron Hayley topping the charts.
Hayley made the move to ThorSport Racing over the off-season, set to run the full schedule after a stellar partial schedule for Turner Scott Motorsports in 2014. In the first three events this year, Hayley has posted a best finish of 11th, coming at Martinsville Speedway.
He was followed by fellow rookie Daniel Hemric, as Hemric looks to top his 12th place Martinsville Speedway finish this weekend.
Daniel Suarez was third quickest as he continues his partial schedule for Kyle Busch Motorsports, while running the full XFINITY schedule for Joe Gibbs Racing. Suarez has continued to get stronger with each race under his belt, having finished in the top 10 in each start so far this year. His teammate Erik Jones was fourth quickest as he looks to return to victory lane this weekend following two top-fives to start the season. Ryan Newman was fifth quickest as he makes his first truck start since last year at Eldora Raceway.
Tyler Reddick was sixth, followed by Austin Theriault, Spencer Gallagher, Matt Crafton and Justin Boston.
Matt Tifft wouldn’t have the practice he was looking for as he unfortunately got into the wall mid-way through the session. He will have to go to a back-up truck for tomorrow night’s event.
