David Starr to Make First NXS Start at Iowa Speedway: Coming off of a strong run at Talladega Superspeedway, David Starr comes to Iowa Speedway this weekend for his first NASCAR XFINITY Series start. The Texas native has four starts at the 7/8-mile speedway in the Camping World Truck Series, posting two top-10 finishes. Starr has an average starting position of 27.8 and an average finishing position of 28.5 on tracks measuring less than one mile in length in the XFINITY Series. After a relaxing off weekend last week, Starr is ready to jump back in the driver’s seat this weekend.
Starr’s thoughts on Iowa Speedway: “I’m really looking forward to running my first NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Iowa Speedway. I have ran there before in the truck series and if your car can rotate good in the center you’ll have a good day.”
No. 44 Zachry Camry: Crew Chief Greg Conner and the No. 44 Zachry crew will unload chassis No. 112 at Iowa Speedway. This chassis’ last run was at Richmond International Raceway.
Additional Notes:
– This will mark Starr’s 51st NASCAR XFINITY Series race
