Phoenix International Raceway announced today that tickets for the semifinal race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500, will go on-sale Friday, May 29. Tickets start at just $25 and can be purchased by visiting PhoenixRaceway.com or by calling 866-408-RACE (7223).
The popular fall race at PIR historically sells out in advance and features a full weekend of NASCAR action, including racing from the top-three series in NASCAR. The Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race takes place on Sunday, Nov. 15. The event weekend also features the DAV 200 Honoring America’s Veterans NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, Nov. 14 following the Lucas Oil 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, Nov. 13. The weekend kicks off with the Casino Arizona 100 NASCAR K&N Pro Series-West race on Thursday, Nov 12.
Race fans can take advantage of PIR’s ‘Value Pricing’ period and receive extra savings by purchasing their tickets for the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 early. The ‘Value Pricing’ period takes place May 29 through July 5. Regular pricing begins on July 6 and runs through Monday, Nov. 10 when walkup pricing goes into effect for race week.
Under the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup format, the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 is the last of the eliminator round and will determine the final four drivers that will fight for the championship the following weekend. The action packed race will begin at 12:30 p.m. local (2:30 p.m. EST) on Nov. 15, with television coverage provided by NBC and radio coverage by Motor Racing Network.
Last fall, Kevin Harvick secured his spot in the final four with his dominating win in the 2014 Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 at PIR. The win catapulted him to his first-ever NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship after his victory the following weekend. Harvick is the only driver in PIR’s 52-year history that has won four-straight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, capped off by the CampingWorld.com 500, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in March.
