After three events on some of the widest and biggest tracks on the tour, it’s time for things to shrink down a size for the Midas of Orangeville OSCAAR Midgets as they will take on the tight bull-ring shaped 1/4 mile known as Full Throttle Motor Speedway. It should be an action packed weekend as they’ll be joined there by the Hoosier OSCAAR Modifieds with their Rick Woolner Memorial.
Jamie Bound (#83) will be looking to bounce back this weekend after having the right front hub break while leading on lap 12 of the feature this past weekend at Sunset Speedway. The 2014 Hurricane Midget Champion is looking for his second victory of the season after winning the season opener at Sunset Speedway.
Steve Lassman missed Sunset Speedway, so hopefully the driver of the No. 37 Midget will be back in contention this weekend. He started off the season with a ninth in the season opener at Sunset, before finishing 12th at Peterborough Speedway.
James Stanley (#57) comes into FTMS with momentum on his side, following a pair of back-to-back top-10 finishes. He finished third at Peterborough, before finishing seventh at Sunset Speedway last weekend.
Rob McCall (#62) heads out at Sunset also with momentum on his side, following his first top-10 of the season as he finished 10th in the feature on Saturday night.
Brian McDonald (#42) is hoping that the positive momentum on his side leads to success this weekend, after posting a pair of back-to-back top-six finishes.
James Rodgers (#77) won the B-main to make the feature at Sunset Speedway, before finishing 20th. He is hoping that this weekend goes smoothly so he can score his first top-10 finish of the season. Rodgers has proven that he can get the job done as evident by finishing fifth at the Velocity 250 last fall at Sunset Speedway and his victory in the season-ending Autumn Colors Classic at Peterborough Speedway.
Jody Bound (#5) has been the impressive rookie to watch thus far this season, showing speed that could have easily ended in his first career victory. He enters this weekend with momentum, having posted a runner-up at Sunset Speedway.
Mike McLaughlin (#17) is coming off a pair of back-to-back top-10 finishes after finishing sixth at Peterborough, followed by an eighth at Sunset Speedway.
Raynor Vickers (#86) is looking to qualify for the show this weekend after failing to qualify at Sunset Speedway. The rookie hasn’t had the best season to date, fighting mechanical issues in the season opener and finishing 15th at Peterborough.
Paul Draganoc (#18) is hoping to bounce back this weekend with a strong run after finishing 16th last weekend at Sunset Speedway. He has shown speed thus far this season as highlighted by a second at Peterborough in the second event of the year. Larry Lawson (#8) is hoping to bounce back, as well, as he finished 23rd at Sunset Speedway after posting a strong 10th place finish at Peterborough.
Lorne Van Dusen (#3) hasn’t had the season that he has wanted this far, posting a pair of finishes outside of the top-20. He has been quick in the past, finishing a solid 11th at Sunset Speedway’s Velocity 250 last September. Does he turn his luck around this weekend? You can add Shawn Stones (#51) as a driver looking to turn his luck around as he failed to qualify at Sunset on Saturday night following a 10th place finish in the season opener.
Wayne McKibbon (#71) is hoping to crack the top-10 this weekend after posting a 13th and 15th thus far this season, while Craig Deacon (#13) is hoping to bounce back after finishing 22nd at Sunset. He started off his year with a strong seventh place finish at Peterborough.
Adam Carrothers (#68) is looking for his third straight top-five finish after posting a fifth and third in his first two starts thus season.
Rob Summers (#85) is hoping to qualify this weekend after failing to qualify for the feature on Saturday. He started off the year solidly, posting an eighth place finish at Peterborough.
Bob Ross (#28) is hoping to qualify for his second event of the season after failing to qualify for both races at Sunset Speedway thus far. He did qualify for the event at Peterborough, posting a 23rd place finish.
Richard Woodland (#84) is looking for his fourth straight top-six finish to start off the year after finishing sixth, first and fifth in the first three events thus far. His fellow family mate Brian Woodland (#48) also has momentum on his side, having started the year off with three straight top-10 finishes – fourth, fifth and ninth.
Kevin Spiez (#98) is hoping to post his first top-10 finish of the season after finishing 13th in the feature on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
Katherine Summers (#26) is hoping to qualify this weekend after missing the show at Sunset Speedway as a result of a mechanical issues in the b-main. She has done strong this year, though, posting a ninth place finish three weeks ago at Peterborough Speedway.
Wally Wilson (#69) is hoping the mechanical gremlins disappear so he can make the show this weekend and try and top his 17th place finish at Peterborough.
Of course, the driver that most eyes will be on is Robin McLean (#97). McLean was able to sneak by Jody Bound in the late stages and snatch the victory at Sunset Speedway this past weekend. McLean has only ran two of the three races thus far this season, but has done well in both with finishes of third and first.
Dave Bradley is hoping to score his second top-10 finish of the season this weekend for Bradley Brothers Racing, having started the year with finishes of eighth and 11th at Sunset Speedway.
