INNISFIL, Ontario — While running competitively in the 75-lap feature looking for a strong finish to complete his rookie Late Model campaign at Sunset Speedway, the motor would go for Jordan Latimer.
Starting in the back half of the field for the feature, Latimer worked his way up to the 10th spot by the second yellow flag of the event at lap 26. He would fall back to 11th by the third caution at lap 38, but solidly kept himself in the top-15 over the middle portion of the event.
He would fall just outside of the top-15 with 25 laps to go, but it was with 11 laps to go that all the pieces unraveled. Going down the backstretch, the motor would go, with Latimer bringing the car down pit road.
Despite a tough end to the season, Latimer showed in his rookie campaign that he could contend with the best of the best in Ontario, posting three top-fives and eight top-10s this season.
