MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 1, 2016) — The Kyle Busch Foundation (KBF) will support several Charlotte, N.C.-area charities again this spring through its annual prom dress drive. Steered by Samantha Busch, wife of NASCAR champion Kyle Busch, the foundation collects hundreds of new & gently used formal dresses to then be donated for local girls to wear this prom season.
For 2016, KBF’s prom dress drive will support Girl Talk Foundation’s Prom Projectâ„¢, Joyful Hearts’ JOYPROM and Iredell (N.C.) County schools to help provide formal dresses for girls who may not be able to purchase a dress on their own. KBF has established several drop-off locations for the public to donate dresses, including: Kyle Busch Motorsports in Mooresville, N.C., Starbucks in Cornelius, N.C., and the Toyota Pit Pass display at select NASCAR events. Dresses will be collected through Friday, April 1.
“We are so pleased to be working with Girl Talk Foundation, Joyful Hearts and Iredell County schools to help make the prom a special night for so many local young ladies,” said Samantha Busch. “The prom is a once-in-a-lifetime experience where every girl deserves to feel beautiful and feel good about herself. We selected these organizations to partner with not only because they are in our community, but because of the amazing work they do to empower young people in such positive ways, by building their self-esteem and teaching them important skill sets that will help them be strong individuals.”
