BROOKLYN, Mich. (May 10, 2016) — Michigan International Speedway continues to expand the WiFi coverage for its guests for the FireKeepers Casino 400 weekend and the Pure Michigan 400 weekend.
MIS will have 14 hotspots around the facility this year to further enhance the fan experience at the track. Now fans can share more of their memorable experiences from throughout the weekend on social media and with friends not at the track.
MIS, will continue to offer free Wi-Fi hotspots in the following areas:
- MISCamping.com Turn 2 Retreat
- MISCamping.com APEX Camping
- MISCamping.com Grave Farm (Shower House)
- MISCamping.com Infield – (Four restrooms)
- Champions Club presented by CP Federal Credit Union
- Skylounge Suites
- Pit Road Suites
- MISCamping.com M-50 Creekside Nightcap
- Keloorah
- The Deck
- New Holland Fan Plaza at the Welcome Center
Keloorah is an initiative to attract guests who may not otherwise be aware of NASCAR, while providing current NASCAR fans with an entertainment experience unparalleled at any other NASCAR event. In addition to listening to great artists perform late into the night, fans can stay connected to the internet throughout the festival footprint.
And don’t stop the partying at Keloorah. Keep it going at Nightcap in the MISCamping.com M-50 Creekside Campground. While guests are there you can use the free WiFi hotspot, sharing their experiences on their favorite social platforms.
“We’re thrilled to continue bringing more technology to our guests with free Wi-Fi,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “Sharing experiences and being able to stay connected at the track is an important part of the guest experience in any sport, but certainly in NASCAR. Introducing more technology for our fans and partners will continue at MIS.”
Free Wi-Fi will be available to all cell phone carriers, though Sprint is the preferred cell service at MIS.
Fans can now stay up to date on the latest happenings in NASCAR and set their fantasy line up right from the track. They can use the Discover MIS app, download interactive maps, and even buy tickets – all using the free Wi-Fi.
And since nearly 15 percent of its fan-base comes from Canada, this will fill and essential need for international guests to stay in contact with their families across the border.
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is NASCAR’s fastest racetrack. It has been the love of NASCAR racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike for nearly 50 years.
