How difficult is a place like Dover?
“It’s very difficult. Dover seems to be my arch nemesis. We’ve run really well there, led a bunch of laps in the K&N race there, and had a tire blow out at the end of the race that hurt our finish. We had a top-three run there last year in the truck, and had a motor problem. It’s been good to me in terms of speed and running up front, but we haven’t had any luck there. I think the speed will be there again this year, just need to get the little gremlins out, and come out of there with at least a top-five finish, if not a win.”
How physically demanding is a place like Dover?
“Dover is probably the most physically demanding track out of all the track we go to. I tell people all the time, the first lap I go out for practice, I have to cough going down the front straightaway after going through Turns 3 & 4 because it just knocks your insides crazy. You have to learn to relax at Dover, relax in the seat, because if your tensed up, trying to hold your head, it will wear you out in five laps.”

- Chassis Information…The No. 13 ThorSport Racing team will utilize chassis No. 37 forFriday’s Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway. This is the same chassis that teammate Matt Crafton raced at Dover in 2015, finishing fifth, and Bristol Motor Speedway, finishing seventh.
- Follow the Leader… Hayley has led 21 laps this season, leading at least one lap in the series’ first four races of the season.
- In The Loop – 2016… According to NASCAR’s Loop Data statistics, Hayley is scored third in Average Running Position (9.469), fourth in Driver Rating (92.4), and fifth in Laps in the Top 15 (517).
- Dover Rewind… Hayley started seventh in his track debut at Dover in 2015, led the field for one lap, and finished 21st after engine troubles sidelined the Calgary, Alberta, Canada native 64 laps shy of the scheduled distance.
- Race Rewind – Kansas… Making his second career start at Kansas Speedway, Hayley started 15th, and led the field once for two laps, but a long green flag run, followed by a lengthy time before pit road opened, resulted in the No. 13 Cabinets by Hayley machine running out of fuel, and was relegated to a 19th place finish in the Toyota Tundra 250.
