Second practice for the Angie List Grand Prix of Indianapolis saw six Chevrolet and four Hondas in the top-10 of the speed charts.
Claiming the top spot this session was Scott Dixon, driver of the No. 9. Target Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet with the speed of 125.624 mph.
Second went to Simon Pagenaud, driver of the No. 22 Menards Team Penske Chevrolet with a speed of 125.453 mph. The top Honda this session was Graham Rahal, driver of the No. 15 Steak ‘n Shake car with a speed of 125.453 mph in third.
Rounding out the top-five were Sebastien Bourdais, driver of the No. 11 Team EURPOA-KVSH Chevrolet, and Will Power, driver of the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet.
Sixth through tenth were as follows: Mikhail Aleshin, Josef Newgarden, James Hinchcliffe, Juan Pablo Montoya and Ryan Hunter-Reay.
There were four incidents during the session – Alexander Rossi spun and stalled, Scott Dixon went for a spin, Alex Taglini lost power and Mikhail Aleshin slid through the gravel.
Next up on Friday will be a third practice session followed by qualifying.
