Sunset Speedway announced that the APC Auto Parts United Late Models of Ontario presented by Grisdales APC 100 has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 12 as a result of rain expected throughout the day on Saturday.
Unfortunately, this marks the second straight weekend in a row that Sunset has been forced to call the show due to rain.
“As you all our aware, we are in the business of racing so no one wants to race more than us,” Track General Manager Mark Dilley posted on the track’s facebook page. “But with rain, minus one temps and 40 k winds in the forecast, I can’t see this being enjoyable for anyone and when you come to Sunset as a racer or fan, we want you to have a good time. So again I am sorry but we can’t control the weather.”
Sunset Speedway will be back in action on May 21 and 22 with their massive Spring Velocity weekend, featuring a full show on both Saturday and Sunday involving the Advance Auto Parts Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Ontario Modified Racing Series and Lucas Oil TQ Midgets.
The first race for the APC Auto Parts United Late Models of Ontario presented by Grisdales season will now take place on June 4 at Flamboro Speedway.
