Terry Woodley kept his top-10 streak alive this past weekend at Sunset Speedway, posting a pair of ninth-place feature finishes.
The Carpenter started off the weekend by finishing fourth in his heat on Saturday, however didn’t have the Fast Qualifier’s Dash he wanted as he’d have to pull off on Lap 7 with a problem.
The feature re-draw placed him deep in the field as he’d have to start from the 12th position. He’d begin making ground right away, moving up to the ninth spot with eight laps to go. He’d manage to hold his ground over the final laps, picking up a ninth place finish.
On Sunday, he started the day in victory lane by winning his qualifying heat. Same story, new day in the feature as the re-draw once again didn’t play in his favor, forcing Woodley to start deep in the field. Once again, picking up spots wouldn’t be too hard of a task as he moved into the ninth spot on Lap 7. With a lack of cautions, he was unable to make up anymore ground, resulting in a ninth place finish.
Notably, Woodley has posted 19 straight top-10 finishes dating all the way back to last season.
