With a pass mid-race, Stan Coe held off all the late charges thrown his way en route to scoring the St. Onge Recreational Super Stock feature victory at Sunset Speedway.
Miles Tyson won the first heat just ahead of Ryan Semple, followed by Justin Holmes, Dustyn Mombourquette, Coltin Everingham, Stefan Semeraro, Nick Tooley and Ric Watson.
Dan Archibald won the second heat ahead of Treyten Lapcevich, Stan Coe, Paul Allard, Matt Bentley, Anthony DiBello, Herb Walters, William Hughes and John Latimer.
Jordan Howse won the final heat ahead of Nic Troback, Brandon McFerran, Dennis Cybalski, Jade Franklin, Kendra Adams, Mike Weeda and Frank Davey.
The fast qualifier’s dash got a little messy with Semple getting spun on Lap 3 courtesy of contact from Archibald. Jordan Howse went for the daily double ahead of Tyson, Lapcevich, McFerran, Troback, Holmes, Allard, Cybalski, Coe, Mombourquette and Archibald.
Matt Bentley won the b-main ahead of Franklin, Everingham, Anthony DiBello, Weeda, Walters, Semeraro, Morrison, Tooley, Adams, Liscum, Davey, Latimer, Fedele DiBello, Hughes and Watson.
Come feature time, it’d be Herb Walters starting pole ahead of Coltin Everingham, Anthony DiBello, Treyten Lapcevich, Stan Coe, Chris Allard, Brandon McFerran, Nic Troback, Jordan Howse, Jade Franklin, Ryan Semple, Dennis Cybalski, Matt Bentley, Miles Tyson, Justin Holmes, Dan Archibald, Stefan Semeraro, Mike Weeda, Johnny Morrison, Nick Tooley, Tyler Liscum, Kendra Adams, Frank Davey, Jordan Latimer, Fedele DiBello, Chandler Bos, Ric Watson and Dustyn Mombourquette.
On the drop of the green flag, Walters put the No. 88 Graves Towing, Andrews Auto Body, Mason Haulage and Top Shop Auto Body Supplies Monte Carlo out front as Anthony DiBello and Everingham battled for second.
DiBello got the second spot on Lap 2, as Coe got alongside Everingham for third. Coe got by Everingham, getting alongside DiBello for second a lap later. Coe took the second spot on Lap 4, as McFerran got alongside DiBello for third. McFerran got by on Lap 6, taking third ahead of DiBello as Everingham battled Semple for fifth.
At the front of the field, Coe tracked Walters down for the lead, putting the No. 58 Timber Mart of Stayner and Cabral Racing Promotions Camaro out front on Lap 8 ahead of Walters and McFerran as Semple and DiBello battled for fourth. Semple got the spot on Lap 9 ahead of DiBello, as Howse moved up into sixth.
Howse continued his climb, passing DiBello for fith on Lap 10, bringing Bentley through with him. DiBello now ran seventh ahead of Everingham, Lapcevich, Holmes and Franklin. McFerran also continued his climb, getting alongside Walters for second at Lap 13, completing the pass two laps later. Meanwhile, Holmes got by Everingham and Lapcevich both to move up to eighth.
With 18 laps on board, Coe led McFerran, Walters and Semple as Bentley and Howse battled for fifth ahead of DiBello. Holmes then got alongside DiBello for seventh just before the caution flew for Archibald and Allard getting together down the backstretch. With 13 laps to go, Coe led McFerran, Walters, Semple, Howse, Bentley, DiBello, Holmes, Everingham, Lapcevich, Franklin, Troback, Cybalski, Tyson, Morrison, Semeraro and Weeda.
Coe got a good restart to maintain the lead as McFerran and Semple ran side-by-side for second. Semple got the spot with seven laps to go, bringing Bentley through with him. Bentley made his move, getting alongside Semple with six laps to go, as Howse got alongside McFerran for fourth.
Howse got the spot at Lap 25 ahead of McFerran, Holmes and Wlaters as Franklin battled Lapcevich for eighth. Franklin got the spot with three laps to go ahead of Lapcevich as DiBello and Troback ran side-by-side behind them. Further up to the front, Holmes got alongside McFerran for fifth with two laps to go, while Bentley cleared Semple for second on the white flag lap.
At the front of the field, Stan Coe led the rest of the way en route to scoring the victory.
“Just being the safe,” Coe said of the early laps. “I knew the 16 would push up and I was watching Herbie in front of that. I knew he was having trouble keeping her down tight, so I figured I’d be patient and see me get to their door and they all moved up and opened the door.”
Matt Bentley finished second, followed by Jordan Howse whom made the last lap pass on Ryan Semple for third. Justin Holmes rounded out the top-five, followed by Brandon McFerran, Herb Walters, Jade Franklin, Treyten Lapcevich and Nic Troback.
Anthony DiBello finished 11th, followed by Coltin Everingham, Dennis Cybalski, Miles Tyson, Johnny Morrison, Stefan Semeraro, Mike Weeda, Frank Davey, Nick Tooley, Kendra Adams, William Hughes, Fedele DiBello and Ric Watson.
