Carl Edwards continued to show why the Toyotas are the ones to beat this weekend at Kentucky Speedway as he was fastest in this afternoon’s third practice for the Quaker State 400.
Edwards ran a fast lap of 28.627 seconds (188.633 MPH). Edwards was .131 seconds clear of Martin Truex Jr. who was seconds.
Kyle Larson was third followed by: Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon. Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson, AJ Allmendinger, and Kurt Busch rounded out the top ten.
Notables include: Joey Logano 12th, Greg Biffle 13th, Brad Keselowski 15th, Ryan Blaney 17th, Dale Earnhardt Jr. 19th, Kevin Harvick 21st, Tony Stewart 24th, Ryan Newman 25th, Kasey Kahne 27th, and Chase Elliott 29th.
