Due to the excessive Florida humidity and consistent rain showers, the Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 has been postponed to noon tomorrow and will be shown on CNBC.
Blake Koch was the leader at Lap 11 when the field came down pit road for weather.
It’s only the second time in history that the race has been postponed due to weather. The last time that happened was back in 2007 when the race was moved to July 6. Kyle Busch would go on to win the race that year.
The race was barely underway when rain, which had been predicted to threaten the track during the evening, hit. Koch was leading the race only with 11 laps complete. Ben Kennedy will restart the race in second followed by pole sitter Brennan Poole, Daniel Suarez and Daniel Hemric.
