Nicole Podewils finishes third in Mini Stock feature at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ont. – Nicole Podewils battled hard throughout the entire night at Sunset Speedway, finishing third in the 25-lap feature.

Podewils started off the night by finishing second in her heat after barely beating Eric Yorke at the line. She then finished third in the ‘Dash for Cash’ after a great battle with Warren Paxton in the last few laps.

Come feature time, Podewils would start in the top-10 and cracked the top-five on lap five with a pass on Gerrit Tiemersma. On the restart, Podewils would get by Billy Melenhorst before getting alongside Yorke for third at lap eight. She’d complete the pass a lap later, setting her sights on the leaders.

Going around lap traffic the rest of the way, Podewils drove her No. 79 Fox’s Bakery and Deli and Ideal Supply Mustang hard, though was unable to catch Brandon McFerran and Miles Tyson, finishing in the third spot.
