Richard Childress Racing announced that it has formed a technical alliance with Germain Racing. Germain currently fields the No. 13 Geico Ford Fusion for Casey Mears. The technical alliance means the team will switch from Ford to Chevrolet for the 2014 season. RCR already has an alliance with Furniture Row Racing, a team which made the Chase this season.
