Johnny Sauter manged to stay in front of the “big one” on the final lap of the Fred’s 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. The win was Sauter’s third of the season. Sauter’s teammate, points leader Matt Crafton, was running second at the end but clipped in the rear and turned around. Fortunately, for Crafton he managed to make across the line in ninth and stretched his points lead form 41 to 57 points.
