Each year, Spencer Lewis hosts a Younggun Panel at the Canadian Motorsports Expo, profiling six of the young up-and-coming stars in Ontario motorsports. This year’s panel will take place on the CME stage on Sunday February 9th.

Lewis has began to reveal the panel of drivers that he will feature this year with the first announced earlier this week.

2013 OSCAAR Hanover Holiday rookie Shane Stickel will be the first driver as part of the six driver panel for 2014. The Kitchener, Ontario native made the move to the OSCAAR ranks in 2013 after winning the Canadian Vintage Modified Championship the year before.

His first start of the year came at Sunset Speedway in June, where he scored a solid seventh place finish. He then backed it up with a fifth place finish the next day, despite being caught up a last lap crash.

In each of the races that the driver of the No. 39 MSD Machine Tool/ Shelane Properties/ Huron Fasteners/ Creative Edge Signs & Graphics/Metal Supermarkets/Paragon Collision Centre/MAC Contractin/Bizign Design Company/ Modified ran, he was strong and ran up front. His best finish of the season came in the Chase for the Colours event at Peterborough Speedway, where he finished second to Gary McLean after scoring a heat win. The finished allowed him to start on the outside of the front row at the Autumn Colours Classic, where he came home solidly in fourth.

The rookie also showed that he could come back from adversity, finishing fourth at Flamboro Speedway despite suffering cosmetic damage in a lap nine wreck.

The Canadian Motorsports Expo takes place at the International Centre from February 7th to February 9th, featuring Ryan Newman on February 8th and Mike Skinner on February 9th. For more information about the event, check out
