Davey Terry to unveil OSCAAR Hanover Holiday Modifed at Mega Speed

At the 2014 Mega Speed Custom Car and Truck Show later this month, Davey Terry will be unveiling his 2014 OSCAAR Hanover Holiday Modified. The No. 14 Wasteco/Castrol/Brennan Haulage/Keeler Electric/Mann Hydraulics Modified will be adorned by the familiar green that fans have grown used to, though will have a slightly new design for the new season.

Last season, Terry had a solid season on his way to finishing third in points for the second straight season. The season was highlighted by a third place finish in the Rick Woolner Memorial at Sunset Speedway.

Terry has been with the OSCAAR Hanover Holiday Modifieds since they debuted in 2012 and says that so far, the series has met his expectations.

“The weekly race procedures are well organized and all the staff does an excellent job each and every week,” he told OSCAAR’s Dave Gainforth. “Another big benefit would be all the great people I have met and established friendships with. Whether it be fans, drivers, or other team members, we have a lot of fun each week at the track.”

Entering his third season of modified racing this year and the goal on his mind is simple – to grab his first feature win.

“We have been so damn close so many times, it gets frustrating sometimes,” he said. “I know it is close and when it does happen, there is going to one heck of a party after.” 

The second goal for the upcoming 2014 season is to follow the team’s motto – “we are going to have a damn good time trying”.

The MegaSpeed Custom Car and Truck Show takes place later this month – from March 21st to the 23rd – at the International Center in Toronto, Ontario. Taking up five huge halls with cars from one end to the other, you can promise that your eyes will drool due to the eye candy. Many race teams and series will also be on hand to talk about their plans for the 2014 season.

The list of celebrities for the event includes some stand-outs like Danny “The Count” Koker and his business partner Kevin Mark from Counting Cars, Rick and his wife Kelly from American Restoration, Quinton “Q” Dodson from Pimp My Ride, Lou Santiago from SPIKE’s show MuscleCar, and entertainment starts Coca & Ice-T.
