Mooresville, NC (May 20, 2014) – This is the week that every team has been waiting for, NASCAR’s homecoming! The NASCAR Nationwide Series is racing in their backyard at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the 33rd Annual History 300. After a successful weekend at Iowa Speedway, all of the TriStar Motorsports teams are getting ready to travel 35-miles south to the 1.5-mile oval speedway.
Eric McClure, No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry
Making his 12th Nationwide Series start at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend, Eric McClure and the No. 14 Hefty/Reynolds Wrap Camry are coming off of a 24th place finish at Iowa Speedway. McClure’s best finish at CMS came back in 2009 when he placed 18th. The Virginia native’s average starting position is 33.8 and his average finishing position is 25.8.
Mike Bliss, No. 19 SupportMilitary.org Camry
Mike Bliss has seen great success at Charlotte Motor Speedway over the past 18 Nationwide Series races that he has run there. With two wins and five top-5 finishes at the 1.5-mile speedway, Bliss is eager to put Iowa behind him and to race in his backyard this weekend. Bliss’s average starting position is 18.1 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and his average finishing position is 16.3.
David Starr, No. 44 Central Texas Lath & Plaster Camry
David Starr has 14 starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, two of which were Nationwide Series starts. Within his 14 starts Starr has one top-5 and three top-10 finishes, as well as, starting from the pole position in 2004’s Camping World Truck Series race. Starr is ready to get back behind the wheel of the No. 44 TriStar Motorsports Camry.
