History 300: Charlotte Motor Speedway

Charlotte Fast Facts: This weekend’s History 300 will be Eric McClure’s 237th-career Nationwide Series start and his 12th at the 1.5-mile speedway. In 11 starts, the Virginia driver has completed 91.9% of the total laps attempted. He has an average starting position of 33.8 and an average finishing position of 25.8. One year ago, McClure was involved in a late race accident that forced him to spend several laps on pit road receiving repairs to the No. 14 Camry; as a result, the team posted a 30th-place finish.
Chassis No. 12: McClure will pilot chassis No. 12 out of the TriStar Motorsports stable this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This chassis was last used at Texas Motor Speedway where the team posted a 24th-place finish.
Happy 10 Year Anniversary: On Thursday, May 22, McClure and his wife Miranda will be celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary. Since marriage, the couple has had five children, which range in age from nine months to seven years old.
Nationwide Display Appearance: On Saturday at 1:00PM (ET), prior to the start of the History 300, McClure will be making an appearance at the Nationwide Insurance display in the fan midway. He will do a brief Q & A and will sign autographs.

Tune-In: Saturday’s History 300 will be televised live on ABC Sports beginning at 2:30pm (ET). PRN and Sirius Channel 90 will also broadcast the event live.
