The dream season for Ben Rhodes continues.
The Turner Scott Motorsports rookie led flag-to-flag in Saturday night’s K&N East race at the historic Bowman-Gray Stadium.
The 17-year-old won the pole for the race with a new track record and didn’t look back in the crash-filled event.
Gray Gaulding stayed with Rhodes most of the night, until going for a half-spin with some possible contact with Scott Heckert and going a lap down in the process.
Gaulding caught up with the No. 34 car and sent Heckert for a spin, setting up a green-white-checkered finish.
Rhodes and Suarez were side-by-side, until Rhodes cleared him for good, grabbing his third K&N East win in the last four races. He also adds to his points lead in the process.
