Eric Yorke would have another solid night at Sunset Speedway, scoring a seventh place finish for his third straight top-seven finish of the season.
Yorke started off the night by finishing second in his heat, which allowed to transfer to the ‘Dash for Cash’. Yorke had a solid 10-lap race as he finished fifth.
Per Sunset’s qualifying format, Yorke’s starting spot would be determined by a random Frisbee draw, which placed him in eighth starting spot. Though by the first caution at lap three, Yorke had begun to climb through the field, running sixth.
On the restart, he’d get alongside Tyson for fifth, however wouldn’t be able to get by. Instead, though, he was able to get by rookie Jordan Howse to move into the top-five. However, Howse would return the favor on lap 14, bumping Yorke back to sixth.
For the second half of the 25 lap feature, Yorke navigated through the lap traffic, trying to stay in contact with the leaders. In the final laps, Samantha Shaw was able to sneak by him, resulting in a seventh place finish for the 2012 Mini Stock Champion.
