INNISFIL, Ont – Trying to bounce back following motor issues a couple weeks ago, Sean Cronan would show speed and promise, however ultimately suffered a poor finish after a couple spins in the 50 lap feature.
Cronan started off the night by finishing in the top-five in his heat, allowing him to transfer directly in the random draw pool for the feature. Cronan drew eight in the draw, setting him up to start on the outside of the fourth row.
Cronan started off the feature well as he began to move his way up through the pack up towards the top-five. Battling for a spot within the top-five, though, the pieces of puzzle would unravel as on lap 31, Cronan would go for a spin while trying to get underneath Scott Beatty for the third spot.
Restarting at the tail end of the field, Cronan would start to work his way through the pack one again, only to go for a second spin at lap 37 off the front bumper of Steven Wilson.
As a result of both incidents, Cronan and the entire Cronan Motorsports didn’t have the night that they were hoping for. With a pair of off-weeks before the next night of racing, Cronan and team will be looking to regroup and plan for their attack for the next three months of the season.
