(Mooresville, NC – July 15, 2014) The points battle for the 2014 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Championship is heating up with Grant Enfinger just 10 points ahead of Mason Mitchell going into the next race on schedule. The two will battle it out for the points lead again this weekend as they head to Chicagoland Speedway for the Ansell Activ Armr 150 on Saturday, July 19.
Enfinger will make his 4th start at Chicagoland Speedway for the Ansell Activ Armr 150 in the No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite Ford Fusion. In his three starts in the “Windy City,” Enfinger holds three top-10 finishes, including a 2nd place finish in 2009, 3rd place finish in 2010 and 8th in 2011.
Enfinger said, “I’m looking forward to getting back to Chicago. I haven’t raced there since 2011, but I really like that place. It is high banked and fast but very demanding on the driver and equipment. This weekend, the Motor Honey brand and Franklin Fastener will be on board. I can’t thank them enough, along with all of our other partners for their involvement this season.”
As the current points leader, Grant holds 4 wins just mid-way through the season. The Alabama driver also has 9 out of 10 top-10 finishes and 6 top-5 finishes, as well as a pole award at Talladega Superspeedway.
“The entire crew at Team BCR has been working hard, preparing great cars this season,” says Enfinger. “Howard (Bixman) assembled a good set of crew members this year, building fast cars and providing this team with the best resources possible. We’ve been real good off the hauler each week, which shows the dedication and preparation in the shop. Success is built from the ground up and that’s what this team has done all year long.”
Team Manager, Howard Bixman mentioned, “This season has been heading in a positive direction since the victory in Daytona. With mid-season upon us, we’ve looked back and evaluated our program, reviewing our strengths and weaknesses. Moving forward, this team and Grant, along with our corporate partners are more focused than ever on pursuing this Championship. With a talented and dedicated driver like Grant and a hard working crew that have sacrificed a lot throughout the year, the balance of this season should be exciting.”
