BK Racing released a statement on Thursday afternoon, stating that Ryan Truex has medically been cleared to return to the driver’s seat this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Truex suffered a mild concussion when he wrecked last Saturday during practice for the Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Eight laps into the first practice, Truex lost the back end of his Toyota. He tried to correct it, and shot head-on into the outside turn two wall.
J.J. Yeley subbed for Truex in the No. 83 Burger King/Dr Pepper Toyota Camry in the Pure Michigan 400, finishing 30th.
